Established in 2016, Ningxia Jinghong covers an area of 200 acres and has more than 130 employees. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hubei Jinghong Biotechnology Co., Ltd., an autonomous region-level intelligent chemical factory, an autonomous region and a national-level high-tech small and medium-sized enterprise, and a national Grade high-tech enterprise. It has built 20,000 tons/year glutaraldehyde and its supporting 15,000 tons/year vinyl ether and 20,000 tons/year acrolein production lines. Among them, the output of glutaraldehyde products accounts for 50% of the total domestic industry. It is the world's third largest manufacturer of 80,000 tons/year of Dow Chemical in the United States and 40,000 tons/year of BASF Chemical in Germany. Exported to overseas such as the Middle East, Europe and the United States. Glutaraldehyde is a world-recognized third-generation new sterilization and disinfectant. It is a new type of water treatment agent encouraged by the state to develop. It is widely used in medical and health, poultry, aquaculture, leather tanning, and oilfield water treatment. On November 24, 2015, the Ministry of Agriculture issued the "African Swine Fever Disinfection Technology", and the recommended drug category included glutaraldehyde. On August 2, 2019, the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued a recommended plan for disinfectant selection in the prevention and control of African swine fever, which listed glutaraldehyde. On February 5 and 13, 2020, Ningxia Jinghong Company was listed by the Ningxia Autonomous Region Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as the list of key manufacturers of epidemic prevention products in the autonomous region and the country (the first batch), the product category glutaraldehyde. In 2020, Ningxia Jinghong plans to invest in a new 60,000-ton/year medical glutaraldehyde project.
