use:
(1) As a raw material for strontium salts and melamines. Various guanidinium salts can be produced by reacting dicyandiamide with an acid. The phenyl melamine diamine obtained by the reaction of dicyandiamide and phenyl nitrile is an intermediate of a coating, a laminate and a molding powder.
(2) It is used as a dye fixing agent, and the dicyandiamide resin obtained by the reaction of dicyandiamide and formaldehyde can be used as a dye fixing agent.
(3) dicyandiamide fertilizer, dicyandiamide compound fertilizer can control the activity of nitrifying bacteria, adjust the transformation speed of nitrogen fertilizer in soil, reduce nitrogen loss and improve fertilizer use efficiency.
(4) As a fine chemical intermediate. It is used in medicine to prepare cerium nitrate, sulfonamides, etc.; it is also used to prepare thiourea, nitrocellulose stabilizer, rubber vulcanization accelerator, steel surface hardener, artificial leather filler, adhesive and the like. The pharmaceutical intermediate 5-azacytosine is obtained by reacting dicyandiamide with formic acid.
