50% aqueous solution is colorless liquid with specific gravity of 1.07. It has high solubility in water and is weakly acidic. It is completely miscible with water at 43 ℃.

30% monocyandiamide aqueous solution is mainly used for the production of cytarabine hydrochloride, 3-amino-5-yl-1,2,4-triazole, cyanamide, dicyandiamide, methyl cyanamide, etc. Another main use is to produce various guanidine salts, such as nitroguanidine, guanidine phosphate and creatine.
